February 2012: February was filled with celebrations! First there was Greer's birthday, then Samantha's birthday, then Valentine's Day, followed by Mama's birthday. The month ended with a special treat - a visit with Aunt Amy and Uncle Daryl!

February 4, 2012: Happy 3rd birthday Greer! Greer's party was at "My Gym" - the same place Aurora goes to every Tuesday for "gymnastics" class and open gym playtime. It was good that she knew the teachers, but besides Greer and Ariana, Aurora did not know most of the other kids so she was a bit shy and reserved for most of the party.

February 5, 2012: We meet up with Uncle Anthony for dimsum in Chinatown. Aurora loves to use her kwai tze (chopsticks).

February 12, 2012: Today is Samantha's birthday party...at "my Gym"! This time, Aurora knew most of the kids since they were all from her school. With a slightly older crowd (4 year olds), the activities were different from the ones at Greer's party.

One of Aurora's favorite activities is jumping on the trampoline. She's getting really good at it!

Listening to a story about the 3 little ducks.

Cupcakes! Mmmmmm!

And it ends with a zipline ride.

February 14, 2012: A normal Tuesday (school/work, followed my 2 hours at My Gym). But there's a special treat for dinner...chocolate fondue with lots of fruit! Aurora really enjoyed dinner that night!

February 18, 2012: Aurora works out with Jon that evening.

February 19, 2012: A trip to the Aquarium. Since it was the start of school vacation week, the aquarium was packed! Good thing we are members, since it allowed us to avoid waiting on a super long line just to get in.

February 21, 2012: Another typical Tuesday, followed by...

February 25, 2012: Another visit to the Children's Museum. Sometimes, Aurora wakes up and tells us she dreamed about going to the Children's Museum. And sometimes, her wish comes true.

This particular Saturday was an engineering themed day. Aurora tries to make a paper bridge. She did pretty well - her bridge held far more pennies than expected!

Since it was crowded, golf balls were hard to come by. Luckily, Mama knows of a secret stash. Once we got some golf balls, Aurora felt she had to horde them.

Upstairs, the MIT chapter of SWE had many other engineering activities for kids to try out. Here, Aurora is building a domed structure. She chose to start with a pentagram, then had some difficulty getting the sides to stand up.

Testing driving a military simulation video. Aurora had trouble figuring out how to stop and turn in time. Kind of like Mama when she first learned how to drive!

More building to do.

Putting Buster together.

She's flying an airplane!

Time to refuel!

In the Construction Zone.

Checking out the new Native American exhibit. Aurora is stamping patterns traditionally used to decorate baskets.

February 27, 2012: Aurora is so excited to get to go on a trolley! After work and school, Kathy and Aurora catch a Green line trolley into Boston to meet Amy and Daryl for dinner at Quincy Market (26 North in the Millenium Hotel, to be exact). Not only does she get to ride the trolley for the first time, she gets a yummy dinner at a restaurant and hangs out with two cool people!
