Aurora is a toddler! She is now confident when walking around the house or even when she is in a strange environment. She loves to listen to music (even Mama's singing is awesome to her!) and she dances to the songs. Aurora is learning the motions to songs like "If you're happy and you know it," "Wheels on the bas," and "Itsy bitsy spider" and she really enjoys the interactive songs we learned at the library (at Mother Goose on the Loose).

More teeth keep coming in. At the beginning of the month, Aurora's left side molars were completely in, as was her second botton left tooth in the front. Her right side molars (top and bottom) were partially in. That makes 9 teeth!

Aurora is an expert at walking indoors now. She is still a bit cautious outdoors. For some reason, she is scared of walking across the grass. Concrete is OK. The rubber flooring at the playground is OK. Even gravel is OK. But if we put her on the grass, she refuses to take a step.

Somehow, Aurora has learned how to walk up stairs. She doesn't crawl up like most kids - she just holds one of our hands and takes a giant step up. See the video shot on April 18.

April 5, 2009: Aurora spends some time enjoying the sun in the backyard.

April 12, 2009: Easter Sunday. We spent the morning playing at home. Aurora found time to QC the new pack of diapers too.

That afternoon, we headed off to the Ozier's, who host an annual Easter lunch for their sons' friends. The Vargus-Korkas were also there, and AJ Korka was very generous to share her toys with Aurora. Linda provided a basket full of plastic eggs, which both girls loved to play with.

April 14,2009: The turkey's have landed! Actually, they were in our (tall) pine trees when we got home that afternoon and then they flew down into the neighbor's backyard.

April 18, 2009: Aurora has a mind of her own and she knows how to get what she wants...such as the crumbs from the wagon wheels container!

Later that day, Aurora and Jon explored the flowers in the yard.

April 19, 2009: Aurora shows off her new haircut.

That night, she tries to avoid her bath. Afterwards, she wants to comb her own hair. It was a big day for everyone!

April 23, 2009: Aurora and Wai Pao get reacquainted.

April 25, 2009: In the morning, Aurora decides to show off her riding skills while dressed like an 80's rock star. We then met some of Kathy's relatives for lunch at Legal Seafood, where Aurora insisted on trying a lemon for the first time.
